Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company (NCWSC) has announced a 24-hour water shutdown across several Nairobi estates and neighbourhoods.
The interruption will allow emergency repairs on a major pipeline. In a notice issued on Tuesday, the company said the Athi Water Works Development Agency (AWWDA) would shut down the NCT-Kigoro-Gigiri-Kabete pipeline to carry out the repairs.
The shutdown is expected to disrupt water supply to homes and businesses for approximately 24 hours.

Nairobi Water Urges Residents to Save Water
Nairobi Water has urged residents and businesses in the affected areas to use their available water sparingly during the shutdown.
The company apologised for the inconvenience and said repair work would help restore the supply. Residents should store enough water for essential household needs before the interruption begins.
