The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has appointed Robert Kibet Kibor as its new registrar.
The commission announced the appointment in a statement issued on September 7, 2026. JSC said it made the appointment under Section 10(2) of the Judicial Service Act, Cap. 8A.
Kibor will provide leadership and oversight in the management of the commission’s technical and shared services.
He will also help the JSC implement policies, strategies and programmes aimed at improving its operations. His work will support accountability and the effective administration of justice.
Kibor is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with 14 years of experience since his admission to the bar.
He joined the JSC in 2012 as a Legal Researcher. He most recently served as the commission’s Assistant Director of Legal Services.
In his new role, Kibor will report to the Chief Registrar of the Judiciary and the Secretary to the Judicial Service Commission.
