Eunice remembered as family matriarch

Gachagua described his sister as an important pillar of the family who took on a motherly role after the death of their mother seven years ago.

He said Eunice offered guidance and support to her siblings and became a central figure in the wider family during that period.

Her death, he said, had left a significant gap among relatives who had depended on her counsel and presence.

Family pays tribute

The former Deputy President extended condolences to Eunice’s daughter Waithera, her son Murimi, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and members of the wider Reriani family.

He also expressed gratitude for the 77 years she lived, describing her as a warm and happy person who brought joy to those around her.

The family said they would remember her for her guidance, warmth and the moments they shared together.

Another loss for Gachagua family

Eunice was the firstborn daughter of the late Nahashon Gachagua Reriani and Martha Kirigo Gachagua.

She was also a sister to the late former Nyeri Governor Nderitu Gachagua, who died in 2017.

The Gachagua family has been prominent in Nyeri’s public and political life for years, with several members having served in leadership and public roles.

Funeral arrangements had not yet been announced at the time of publication.
